Creative Clusters 2007, London
Creative Clusters 2007 runs from Friday 9th to Wednesday 14th November 2007. The programme is designed so that you can take part in different ways.
The 'core conference' runs Monday 12th to Wednesday 14th. This gives you three packed days of case studies, workshops, visits and networking events.
Day 1: Lambeth and the South Bank
The South Bank's role as home to some of the UK's leading cultural institutions is the legacy of the 1951 Festival of Britain, the first major cultural regeneration event in modern times. After an opening address by Margaret Hodge MP, Minister for Creative Industries, in the Queen Elizabeth Hall, there is a full day of policy sessions at the Southbank Centre's Queen Elizabeth Hall and BFI Southbank (formerly the National Film Theatre). There is the 'Create Brixton' seminar in the afternoon, and the day finishes with the 'Cutting IT' fashion reception in the Queen Elizabeth Hall foyer.
Day 2: City Fringe
The City Fringe area, on the edge of London's financial district, is experiencing intensive regeneration. With a large ethnic minority population, small enterprise and cluster development for creative industries is central to the area's development. We have a full day of policy sessions at the Rich Mix Centre, a visit to the Hatton Garden Jewellery Centre, and in the evening the 'City Fringe Partnership' Conference Party at The Circus Space in nearby Hoxton Square.
Day 3: Exhibition Road and Westminster
On Day 3 we are in central and west London. In the morning you can choose between the 'Transformation of Public Space' seminar at the V&A Museum, workshops and tours based at the Soho Theatre, or a visit to Westbourne Studios. In the afternoon, the conference draws to a close at the Royal Opera House, with more policy sessions, and a closing plenary featuring major UK policy commentators.

Overview
IT security must be combined with interoperability and efficiency requirements. In networked society, public administrations need to be both open and secure. An integrated security infrastructure must provide information protection at the network and platform level, have the capability to monitor, analyze, and respond to threats and incidents in real-time, and be designed to manage identities and privileges, access, and authorization.
In this study Government Insights provides an analysis of the results of the IDC Vertical Market Survey carried out in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the U.K. The results are based on 279 interviews in the government sector. This study, which analyzes IT security adoption and investment plans, is the second of a series of studies that include analysis of IT strategy and decision making process, analysis of adoption of new technologies, and analysis of IS budget plans
Vendors that want to win business in the government IT security space, must target local authorities and offer identity management solutions, according to Massimiliano Claps and Silvia Piai, IDC European Vertical Markets.
