IMT-INDIA, 06-09/02/2008, Mumbai

All India Association of Industries and World Trade Centre, Mumbai are organizing the "Innovative Technologies for Manufacturing Expo" in the commercial capital of India from 7-10 February 2008 at the Expo Centre, WTC Mumbai.

The objective of ITM Expo is to assist technology upgradation and modernization. The ITM Expo endeavors to collaborate overseas innovative technologies with Indian manufacturing sector to enrich the Indian manufacturing companies and together explore the markets of the developing nations.

India today, along with China and Korea is geared up to take on the mantle of the new manufacturing hub of Asia and the global manufacturing market. Today there is a new breed of emerging giants waiting in the wings to create the second wave of outsourcing of manufacturing processes. A whole gamut of production processes and jobs are being transferred to the developing world through global manufacturing networks. Manufacturing itself is moving from mass production to mass customization. Everyone is relying on innovation to change the future of manufacturing and large-scale production.
ITM Expo assumes importance in view of the Government of India having announced various favorable policies and schemes for technology upgradation The Indian manufacturing sector today is at the threshold of adopting innovative technologies to enhance productivity, provide quality, conserve energy and be cost effective.
ITM Expo will be covering several arenas of technology with a focus on the following broad sectors:
1. Automation & Engineering
Precision Tools, tools, mould making, auto components, transport technologies, material handling technology, printing & processing technologies machinery manufacturers for constructions, building material and infrastructure technology.
2. Agro technology, food processing and packaging technology
3. Electrical and electrical engineering and related sectors
4. Environmental Technologies, measuring systems and quality management
